Park Place Restaurants in Flamingo Park, West Palm Beach

The 400 and 500 blocks of Park Place, west of Dixie Highway in Flamingo Park, got a Michelin star this year. They also gained a grocery store that opens at 9 a.m. six days a week, and they have had a butcher counter that serves lunch since last spring. All three have Park Place addresses within a few doors of each other. The star made the headlines, but the grocer and the butcher set the block's everyday hours.

The district's own website calls this stretch "Flamingo Park District" and places it along the "Dixie Highway Cultural Quarter." It names Welteroth Property Group as the firm shaping the district. Welteroth's portfolio includes its Flamingo Park Market building at 424 Park Place and Imperial Plaza at 500 Palm Street. The district's website lists dozens of tenants, and plenty of them are labeled "Coming Soon." Below is the part of Park Place you can actually walk into this week.

Ninety-Six Seats a Week, Released on the 1st

Emelina opened at 424 Park Place in early 2026. On May 28 the Palm Beach Post reported that it had earned a Michelin star. Markets of Tomorrow described it as the first Cuban restaurant ever to receive one. Chef Osmel González runs a 10-course menu in a room with 16 seats.

The restaurant's FAQ shows how small it really is. On Wednesday and Thursday there's a single 7 p.m. seating. On Friday and Saturday there are two, at 5 and 8 p.m. At 16 seats per seating, that tops out at 96 covers a week. Loot Grocery, a few doors away, is open 54 hours over the same week.

The booking rules matter more than the menu if you want a seat:

  • Reservations go live on Tock at 9 a.m. Eastern on the 1st of each month, for the following month.
  • When we checked Tock in October, the tasting menu was $275 per person.
  • Every bill carries a 20% service charge, and the restaurant says no extra tip is expected.
  • When it opened in March, the Post reported Tuesday-through-Saturday service. The FAQ now lists Wednesday through Saturday, so check Tock before planning around a Tuesday.

On parking, the FAQ is short:

"Street parking is available, and we encourage shared rides for a relaxed and stress-free evening."

If you live on a nearby street, you can skip the parking question and walk over.

The Six-Day Spine at 513 and 521

Few people would call Steak Shop by Rancher's Reserve the block's anchor, yet it has been open the longest of the group. Markets of Tomorrow reported it open by April 2025. Its operator now lists 513 Park Place, with the shop open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Markets of Tomorrow ties it to the team behind Fern and calls it a farm-to-table butcher and grocer. The district directory calls it a premium butcher selling sourced beef and higher-end cuts to people who cook at home. That gives it two jobs on the block. At midday it's a lunch counter, and by early evening it's where you pick up dinner to cook. You can also order lunch ahead online.

Loot Grocery, at 521 Park Place, says it has been open since January 2026. Its hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store describes its approach as doing the vetting before a product reaches the shelf, so the shelves only carry goods that have already passed. Loot is also building more around the shop, including a monthly box called Loot Delivered and a running Journal.

Put the two schedules together and the block covers most of a weekday. Loot opens at 9 and Steak Shop at 10. Lunch runs 11 to 3. Loot closes at 6 and Steak Shop at 7. Neither store opens on Sunday. Emelina's first seating starts at 5 p.m. on the two nights it has an early seating, before either shop has closed.

424 Park Place Holds More Than the Restaurant

The building at 424 Park Place is Welteroth's Flamingo Park Market. Emelina is in Unit 101. Higher Order is in Suite 104. Markets of Tomorrow reported in June that the club opened in November 2025 and described it as a wellness-led social club. Its FAQ offers day passes, so you don't need a membership to try it.

This building is also where Rueshaw's history starts. In October 2022, the Palm Beach Post announced Rueshaw inside Flamingo Park Market at 424 Park Place and predicted an early-2023 opening. By 2025, Markets of Tomorrow described the project as a 4,000-square-foot restaurant next to Steak Shop, plus a 1,200-square-foot speakeasy called Fancy Bird. The Adventurist Magazine's August 5, 2025, interview still described Rueshaw as soon-to-open. The district directory still lists it as "Coming Soon" from the Fern team. We found no newer public opening date as of this writing.

What the Directory Still Lists

The district's own website is out of date, and you can see it in the restaurant cards. The directory still has "Midorie" as a coming-soon Japanese restaurant. APM Restaurant Group renamed that project Niwa in late July.

Niwa is the next restaurant to watch on Park Place. Chef Masayuki Komatsu of Miami's Ogawa, which has held a Michelin star three years running, is teaming up with González on a single menu. Fish will come from Tokyo's Toyosu Fish Market. Dishes announced so far include Madai Usuzukuri with yuzu kosho and ikura, Key Lime Somen in dashi, and steamed black cod with guarapo and smoked chili oil. Florida stone crab will appear in season. The dining room will seat 20. Outside there will be a tea garden, with a tea program developed with Miami's JoJo Tea.

The group's August announcement set an October 2026 opening. On October 1, Palmer's season preview still listed Niwa as upcoming, with no date. Markets of Tomorrow and WhatNow both report that Niwa will open at 523 Park Place, across from Emelina. The Post's story carries an address correction and refers to 523 Park Place as the site first planned for Midorie. The restaurant's own pages will be the final word once it opens.

Further out, Pumphouse plans a sourdough donut shop in the district, targeting spring 2027. Markets of Tomorrow says it will be next door to the current restaurant row.

Since the directory runs behind, here's a quicker way to check whether a Park Place business is open:

  1. Start with the business's own hours page. Loot, Steak Shop, Emelina and Higher Order each publish an address and schedule on their own sites.
  2. For restaurants, look for a live reservation listing. Emelina's Tock page displays bookable dates. A restaurant without a booking page is probably still being built.
  3. Read the dateline on any news story. Rueshaw's first opening forecast was printed four years ago.
  4. Read a "Coming Soon" label on the district site as a sign that something is planned, not as a timeline.
